“You gain strength, courage and confidence by every experience in which you really stop to look fear in the face. You are able to say to yourself, 'I have lived through this horror. I can take the next thing that comes along.' You must do the thing you think you cannot do.”

― Eleanor Roosevelt

Wizeman Counseling

Welcome everyone, I am excited to meet you!

Life can be tough, and we all need help from time to time. The everyday demands and complications of school, family and careers can be overwhelming, and it can seem like there is no break coming our way. I often tell people life can feel like a game of "Whac-A-Mole" -- we never know what is going to pop up. Unfortunately, we cannot control what happens to us, but we CAN control how we react to it. Let's develop a plan to help you cope, create excitement and joy for who you are, who you can become, and obtain the life you want!

ABOUT ME

I was born and raised in Brooklyn, NY and raised my family in New Jersey, Florida, England and now Maryland. Clearly, I enjoy traveling! I am a mother, wife, sister, daughter, friend, a lover of nature --especially hiking, photography, reading, exercise and helping others. I understand that responsibilities of life can make us feel like we are being pulled in all directions. My decision to become a therapist was derived from the success my family and I have experienced during our own process with grief. I fully understand the heartache that comes with these events, the anxiety and fear that comes with the disruption of life and the need to create the life that we yearn.

I believe in a collaborative and client-centered approach to therapy. We will work together to implement goals for healthier living and peace of mind. I use a variety of evidence-based techniques to treat anxiety, addictions, depression, domestic violence, grief and loss, mood disorders, trauma, and PTSD. I work with ages twelve through seniors, first responders and our U.S. Veterans and active Military.

Let's work together to develop the coping skills needed to overcome life's challenges and create the life you want!
